Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

1 Sa-Matra against all 5 Empire type Star Destroyers (one of each).  Notice it is going head to head with an Imperial Class Star Destroyer II.  Notice the huge size difference.  (BTW - the Sa-Matra wins this fight.)

Dan, i know that family have priority but i think that your children have not yet the knowledge needed for model the Sa-Matra...

And what have happen with the model that you have ask me to correct and soften the curved part( http://starcontroller.com/?p=911 , http://starcontroller.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/samatra_7ds.jpg ) ??? Seem that again, i have work for nothing...

By the way, i have propose you long time ago to make a model of the Samatra who look like these at http://www.zenzmurfy.com/starcontrol/sa-matra/ZZ_samatra1d.jpg ... but you have refuse... seem that now, you have choose to one who look like these in the previous screenshot... but the modeling quality is below everything...

And yes, i am again angry... 3 times in one month time that i discover that a mod who have order me to me some work choose to not use it and put some crap in place of it... why in the hell do you have a 7DS forum where people work for you when you take the first crap that you found somewhere else... Was it too much difficult to make a post on your own forum, saying that you have change your mind and asking people to work on these crap ship for make it somehow look a little better...

Thoumsin / Fileosoft,

I apologize for misguiding you.  I AM going to use your model that you worked on.  That is for the ACTUAL SA-Matra Starbase / Battlestation, the way it is supposed to be.  The model you see in the pics is Gihren's model, one that he made a long time ago before you worked on the Sa-Matra model.  Your's is a more perfect model, which is why it is going to be the actual Sa-Matra battlestation.  In the original Star Control game, the Sa-Matra never moved, it was a Starbase type weapon.  In order to do what I wanted, I needed two different models.

Also, I have tried and tried again to get a hold of Zensmufy for him model, with no success at all.  If I could, I would love to have a model like that, as that is a better reproduction of the actual ship in Star Control.

Again, I apologize.  Just jumped the gun a little.  Your model will be used, it will just take time for me to texture it.  The model in the screen shots was already done by Gihren, which is why I put it in to get the Sa-Matra rolling.  But your model is still in the works man!  I am texturing it right now and hope to put it in soon.

Also, I still want to work with you regarding those other 6 models.  I know you have worked hard my friend, and that work will not go unappreciated.  As you know my time is limited, and sometimes I need to take the easy way in order to stuff done, or else it never will.  But I am working on the model you made, so don't worry!

Again I deeply apologize, I guess I did not keep you in the Sa-Matra loop I had going with Gihren.  I will correct this so that you know what is happening with your model.

I will post shots of the "other" Sa-Matra as soon as it is done being textured.

Main problem is that we are working in the dark on the 7DS forum... Cliff, your second in command have promise weekly report month ago but it have not happen... people working on the 7DS forum have almost no news from you... remember, you are the mod creator... a few post by week, given instructor and making a short report is not too much ask...

About texturing, we are able to make it too... better 5 model fully finish that a bunch of unfinished model and some fast crap included for show some progress...

By the way, remember that 2.5 was planned to be a entrenchment convertion of 2.1 ... 3.0 was planned to be with new material... trying to convert AND add material delay a lot the release... soon, there will be again a lot of patch due to beta testing of Diplomacy... and not yet all material from 2.1 is updated... you try to make everything alone but it is almost a impossible task... You real job is not to make everything but to give work on your team and guide them...

I have a model to finish for Tesla and one for Tobi... once these done, i will check if thing have become better on the 7DS forum... remember, a ship need his captain... on the 7DS ship, the captain is absent, the second in command seam to be dead... and all other officier was not see in a long time... in fact, the only active thing on the 7DS forum is mainly related to all the mod not included in 7DS ( B5, Tesla pirate, BSG, etc )

One last thing, you need a webmaster for the forum... it is already some time now that upload material on it is difficult or impossible because the upload folder room is full... have post about it a few time but it seem that all admin are missing in action...

I completely agree with you.  I ahve been trying to get the DANMAN GAMES members to be more active, but they have not been, even Cliff who is supposed to give a weekly report on what is going on, since I do not have the time to do so.  I will speak with him, and if still unresolved, I will just do the posts myself somehow.  I have been relying on people to do work other than I as you have suggested, but many people are not dedicated the same way you and I are, and I find it hard to depend on people when the time counts.  This is why I end of doing everything myself.  I have asked for help, I even created the JOB POSTING section, but no responses.  Some people do come to me and ask if they can help, but usually they do not know how, or again when asked to do the work, they disappear.

 

About 2.5, yes it was just supposed to be a direct conversion, but I could not help adding stuff to make things more complete.  Good news is that I am just about done.  I want to put in the Sa-Matra Star Base, and one or two more Kzer-Za ships, and then I am done with the new stuff, and only will concentrate on getting everything ready for BETA testing and then release.

As far as the forum goes, you are correct.  Those guys took off a long time ago, and left us hanging.  I am working to actually get the whole forum moved yet again, but this time to my own server at DANMAN GAMES.  This will allow me /us full control, of which I would love your help.  So hopefully this will help out, especially with the downloads.  I cannot even make them work LOL!

 

With your help and others, I plan and hope to make things a lot better!

Seem that i am more in contact with people ( 7DS fan ) that you are... recently, someone have ask me about the Borg !!! And some have ask for the BSG... some try to make some balance between the numerous faction, etc... Sorry to say it but i don't think that a lot of people have interest in the numerous race from Star control... for your Atlantian, people like them for crush some AI but don't like fight against them... maybe make some pool about what will be added after will give a second life to the forum...

By the way, once everything is updated, it will become more easy... With the Harpoo tools, upgrade from one version to the new one can be made in a few hours...

One last thing... a lot of people ask question about solar sins... it was one of your baby too ( and a very successful one )... no new races but a new universe... i have a lot of texture for planet but since i don't know how it work with planet, i cannot create them in game... since you seem the only expert about planet, maybe a short tutorial about them can be welcome... sure that with time, i will find someone enough pationate for work on it once they have learn how to make it...

The actual problem is with the upload, the attachment to the post... i am using my own server space for my tutorial modeling now, who is image heavy... my server is very very fast but have very little storage room... have already resize all the pic for spare place... soon of later, i will need the room for other thing and i will need to delete them... it will mean that the modeling/segmenting/UV optimization/texturing tutorial who is running now will be deleted and loose... it is why we need a webmaster for all these little problem... Duke was one of the guy who have full access and can change thing... since he have come back recently, maybe you can ask him how to make it work...

I cannot give you more help that now... working like the PR guy of your forum take already the half of my time... hey, i am not a coder but lately, i am the only one who reply to coding question on your forum... it ask me hours for try to understand how thing work and give a reply... by the way, about coding, we have almost loose Evil Tesla... He seem to be the guy who can create very original ability... he seem have begin a expert at it... if he go away again, i think that it will be final and we will loose a very good asset who is for now underused... 

Take example of Tobi from the B5 section... along with his second in command Steiner... both interact a lot with people, who lead to hem receiving a lot of help... you isolate yourself too much with your coding work and it is the real problem... you are the 7DS leader and you need to be more with your troop... the few hours loose for make this will be compensate with the help you receive back... See, Tesla help the B5 mod by creating original code but Steiner help Tesla for all 2D work for the Pirate mod... it is how i see the 7DS team work... numerous mod working together... the 7DS mod in itself is secondary... if the team work is good, the 7DS mod will be good too... hey, a few month ago, i have continue the support that you have give to the BSG mod related to texture problem... in one single week, a bunch of ship have their texture corrected... I have discover their texture problem on these forum, discover here that you was trying to help them... have be more easy if you have make a post on your own forum asking help for resolve these problem...

Enough about problems... simply, you need to be more with yours guys, lead them... job posting board is not a bad idea but it need to be more specific that "i need a modeler"... a sketch, some lore about the model, planned weaponery and ability are info that modeler need for create a model... progress report from the modeler and comment from the guy who order the job is needed too... at early stage, a model can be modified... and it is always beter that ear at the end "this is not what i was thinking"... and it have a other positive effect too... people from outside ( the fan ) see that we are working on the mod...

well i downloaded the so called "2.1" version but after installation i looked at the read text you added and after reading the whole thing it was mentioned that that was only 2.0 version. so i thought maybe you just used the old log file but after i started the game in main menu it was cleary written 2.0 . so

1) maybe im wrong and the whole 900mb that i downloaded with extreeme low speed is still the 2.1 version or....

in few words ... ill be dissapointed.

2) when can i download the real version?

3) i really liked the CSI in the older version of the game with all the trade federation capital ships. So any possanility to get them back or somway upload only them in a seperate way?

Ive downloaded both the 2.1 and 2.5A release from danmangames.com but am having trouble getting either mod to work. I think its due to the version of Sins Im running, I recently reinstalled the game and it came as v 1.181 Now if this is the case how do I go about getting the correct version? Is it even possible to downgrade to an earlier version? I also have the entrenchment xpac but havent installed it. Even once I get all this sorted I dont know where to unzip the file to. Any help is appreciated.
