User Account

Hello!
I can't get into the user account. I've tried clicking it and clicking it but it doesn't respond. And also I've noticed that there is no picture on the top of the menu start when I open it. That doesnt' bother me but I think that those 2 things are connected.
If anyone has any idea it would be great. Thx

are you trying from an admin account or limited user account?

reboot - when you get to the blue countdown screen - hit F8 and boot into safe mode under the default admin - if it wants a password, just hit enter - then try accessing the user accounts

so... when you are logged in, what happens when you press; ctrl+alt+delete?

When I press ctrl+alt+delete comes up a window - windows security, from where I can access task maneger, I can shut down the computer, change the password or log off.
I'll try to reboot and do what you told me. Hope it works.

I did what you told me to do...I was able to enter user account. I can't change the way of logging on and off. It says that there is a program, that disables it. GTGina.dll. I just have to delete it?

I googled and found this...Gina.dll

Also...I found that a Linksys wireless adapter driver can cause this also, did you just install one?

is this a work computer?

It's not a work computer, it's my laptop that I use for school and other stuff.
Yesterday I checked out for this .dll file too, and I found out what you CarGuy1 found. I use the Liksys wireless adapter, so this should be the cause of my problem. However the steps to solve the problem are easy, I'm not sure if I should do it by myself, so I'll wait for a friend to come by. I don't wanna mess anything. And I also found another way to do it and I don't know which one is the right one - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302346

Thx for your help...I'm sure that in the future I'll need it again :)
