Culture and Economy over distance...how?

How is this done effectively

I just played a multi system game, I kicked one opponnent out of a system and took it all over.  It was quite large.

I figured with so many planets I would be uber rich but even  after buidling many trade ports and  broadcast centers....it really wasnt great at all.  I also teched culture increases almost to the end but planets a few jumps away from my home planet never went above 35% allegiance.

When players lose planets to culture...how is it I couldn't even maintain a good culture/economy without competitionin the system....I don't know what else I could have done?

After 6 (?) jumps from your homeworld, the max allegiance (without culture) is only 25%. Culture adds 10% (or, if you have the tech for it with Advent, 20%), but if you actually want the allegiance bonus you should consider moving your homeworld to a more central planet. (you'll still need to use culture to raise the allegiance throughout your empire, but the maximum will be much higher, hopefully).

yes I also noticed that.

i had one very remote planet with fully upgraded 54 tactical slots.
with no enemy in that area I build 3 deliverance engines, 5 trade ports and 2 culture-spread-thingys
yet the planet remained at 45% allegiance at all times.

I was under the impression that deliverance engines would increase culture and thereby allegiance no matter how far away that planet is.

Deliverance engines shoot "culture" at other planets, it makes the culture spread really really fast, but you can never exceed your maximum allegiance on a planet, for advent 45% with research and the others 35%... on really big maps, that extra 10% does mean that you do get quite e bit more resources than the others. but the map has to be fairly big for it to be significant...

You could move your capital planet to a different spot to make it have more planets closer to it, but other that that, there's nothing you an do...

Oh, and on a side note, it's fun to have 10+ deliverance engines of auto fire in a multi star game, it's hilarious to have your culture cover half another solar system. and it'll really screw with their planet tax income and resource collection and force them to keep rebuilding planets if you do eventually cause a revolt.

In multi system games, you almost always want you're capital to be next to a star. Even then, the closest worlds in other systems will be 3 jumps away so bace allegiance will be 70% and max will be 80%, (90 for advent)
