when it comes down to it...the idea and everything seemed good..but i would have to say i am disappointed in both apps..the coloring sucks..it makes all the icons one shade..the previous icondeveloper would keep the original dark colors and let you change the lighter colors..and with the new iconpackager..you cant create new iconpackages..since iconpackager isnt done yet..i hope something could be done with the coloring and being able to create iconpackages like the previous

Other than the Eyedropper (like WB has to select and change a specific color) the options of IP are amazing (I think)

Also, you can make packages

You can also edit a package and "save as" from the same screen.

And IconDeveloper has some pretty fancy colorign options too:
