Happy Birthday V. I. Lenin

Happy Birthday V. I. Lenin

Yes, today we celebrate the birth of that icon of freedom and democracy, Mr. Lenin. He is now celebrated world wide in what the communist call Earth Day! 1970 was the first Earth Day to raise consciousness about the coming ice age and to demand that industrial nations of the world stop polluting the Earth in order for our children to live in a more pristine environment. Thus spawned the environMENTAL movement, similar to a bowel movement only evacuating the mind instead of a lower area of the body. So what have we gained from 38 years of screaming that we need to save the planet, that we should think globally but act locally and other pithy phrases?

In 1970 35% of the people believed that Global Cooling was a serious danger to the planet. Today 37% believe that Global Warming is a serious danger to the planet. At this rate of a little more than 1% every 2 decades, well you can do the math to see how long it will take to get a majority of the people to believe this nonsense. All because of this communist plot to destroy from within with junk science. Oh, and for you global warning diehards just remember that the last 10 years the Earth has gotten cooler not warmer following the known and published cycle that a consensus of scientist world wide have agreed upon, back in the 1940’s. But there is hope because the Earth is getting hotter in each cycle and less cool with each cycle, about 6/10 of a degree a year during the warming part and 5/10 of a degree cooler during the cool parts of the cycle. This is a net gain of 1/10 of a degree. So over 100 years it will be 1 degree hotter on average than the last century. So don’t give up global warming nuts you have been proved right the Earth is getting hotter. Just not because of MAN!

V. I. Lenin was a great thinker, under his thoughtful leadership only a few million Russians were murdered a year. Contrast that with the mean horrible and its racist way of doing things where we had a little over 500 deaths of people while in police custody over the same period. Yup communism is the way to go! Communism was the most environmentally friendly of all the world just look a the shining examples like the , the PRC, and that modern industrial nation PRK. It was only after the fall of the did they have any environmental disasters. There are none to speak of in the PRC or the PRK. So we need to emulate them. is an oil rich nation without peer and they had no oil spills during the communist days, no nuclear reactor accidents, and no lost nuclear weapons. can’t tell that lie.

In fact, okay, let me try again. You call the sources (the academics) loons, and dismissing something that those sources are saying as fact. So, then, why do you use them?

If I may answer this for myself. Just because they have a doctorate does not make them right or an authority on the subject. Some, most, have been re-writing history to fit their ideology rather then the facts. I don’t have a doctorate in history but I have taught history in high school. I like the subject and have corrected many a professor to my own pain in the grades I received. When it comes to economics I bow to my son who holds a doctorate in that field then got smart and got his MBA. Sorry proud papa here.

My point is I have lived through the periods of which I write and studied the periods before my time to have context. One thing I have learned is that modern history is not the final word. Your profile says you are 21 years old, if true then you did not live through the cold war you just benefited from those that did while you are learning this topic in school we are saying that what you have learned is skewed to fit the professor’s ideology and if you don’t agree with him he will flunk you. So even if you know he is wrong you still have to agree with him until you get your grade. Most don’t realize that they are being indoctrinated until they get much older. You act like a free thinker and you seem to have a deep respect for your teachers, which makes you a good liberal. What I think the good Dr. is trying to do is make you mad enough to look past the veil and see what really is rather than the foolish picture painted for you.

Allow me to put it another way, you have book world and real world. In academe you have the book world, nothing else exists if you want to graduate. When you get your sheepskin then you enter the real world and you find out that almost everything you learned does not work in the real world. This is true in every profession. To prove this why is it that most inventions are created by people with educations between the third and twelfth grades? The heart bypass machine was invented by a high school graduate. He was given an honorary doctorate years later. All college does is teach you to work for the high school dropout. To do the things he was not trained to do but did on his own. the schools learn these things and then teaches old material because the cutting edge stuff is always coming from the real world. Name an invention from a holder of a doctorate. There are some but they are few and far between.

Don't worry, we all make mistakes, I forgive you. I mean, no one's perfect. (Just giving you a bad time by the way.)

Personally I think the European Welfare State works pretty well, not perfect by any means, but at least everyone gets cheap health care and education, which are important to maintain an equal society.

Also computers and de internetz, Nuclear power, in fact all sorts of awesome came from the holders of doctorates.

Also getting a doctarate is hard work, I don't think you quite realise this.

Equal - or stagnant. It works for some, but not for all. That is the beauty of nations. You dont like these choices, go to one you do. But let's keep our choices open.

You can’t be serious! The welfare state does noting but bring people to the lowest common denominator. It stifles growth and progress. It dumbs down the population and has been an utter failure everywhere it has been tried except Sweden.

If you are too old or too young you don’t get the best of care. So as long as you are young and fit and productive you get health care. If not, you die.

Why is it that Brits come to America for healthcare? Canadians come here on a routine basis for health care. Because the system is too slow.

The socialized healthcare system is too expensive and too callous. Every American gets health care regardless of their ability to pay. We don’t get told to wait 9 months for surgery, we don’t get told to wait three months for the dentist to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. Socialized medicine does this on a regular basis.

Computers? High school kids were building them at home. The first computer was built in 450 AD, there was no doctorate program back then. Both apple and Microsoft were companies formed by college drop outs. The first artificial heart was created by a high school graduate. The internet was created by the military, the desk top computer was designed by high school graduates working for the U. S. Marine Corps, in 1963. Under contract to the Marines IBM took the plans and built it. It took from 1964 to 1980 before IBM started delivery on that computer which they improved a lot on and produced and then commercially sold the desk top computer. My uncle was a professor of electrical engineering at Stony Brook University on Long Island. All of this was common knowledge to him when I was in high school. I would strongly suggest you crack open the books a little more and blog a lot less if you plan on getting your degree.

Speak for yourself, I had to pay for my sons bachelors degree he had a free ride scholarship for his doctorate, and his MBA in that order. My son was kind enough to get his bachelors in two years rather than four. So if you think it is hard then you are not studying hard enough.
