Question to the developers in regards to future development.
from
Stardock Forums
Hi,
I just finished the great piece brad wrote on gamasutra ( have read through everything on avoult twice
). What cought my eye was that "GC2 would be developed if economically viable". From what i had read earlier i had gotten the picture that the idea of subscription was that when the year was up most people would renew it since they were continue to get added functions to their favorite game. Thus Stardock would get the money to develop GC further in advance from it's users. And at a certain time a GC2 label be set and sent out to retail from what had already been developed.
Has this idea been changed or did i misinterpet it from the beginning ?
I also got the general image that GC was doing very well economicaly but since there is doubt whether GC2 will be developed at all i'm wondering whether this image has been to optimistic. I Understand that you cant or dont want to, reveal exact numbers but would it be possible for you to reveal to us that love the game how far we are from getting GC2 axed or accepted ( i.e. how well is GC doing in sales ) ?
Thanks for a great game anyway and if i get any answers then i'm be greatful.
Regards / Falafel
