If you had one wish...

Ok, lets say you have one wish, it can be anything, but the granter can twist it any way they want. The more altruistic the wish is, the greater the likelihood of the wish being twisted or worse the outcome might be. So if you ask for world peace, everyone might become mute or all life might vanish. If you ask that everyone get along, all individuality could be lost. If you ask for a million dollars, it might come from a charity. If you ask to win a million dollars, it might be revoked due to a glitch in the winner determination. If you ask for knowledge, it might drive you insane. In this thread, what would you wish for, and how could the wishes in this thread be corrupted?

I would wish I wouldn't have read this article. But then I might end up blind, would never have discovered Joeuser.com, may have never been able to use the internet, you might have been dead, Stardock would burn down and loose all their backups, even if kept off the property where the office is. Too many negative results. I'll deal with having read this.

LOL, J/K

I might have played long if it hadn't turned into coming up with situations for another bad Wishmaster sequel. :p

Admittedly, it does make it a bit cheesy in a way, but otherwise we'd all (hopefully) end up wishing for a world where no one goes hungry, no one ever kills anyone else, etc...
Not much to discuss with that, is there?

Nah, I'm way more selfish than that. Such mundanities never entered my mind.

I wish I could play guitar like Stevie Ray Vaughan but I don't think I want to die before my time. Maybe if I wish I could play as half as good as him, I might not die in the crash. Oh, but then I'd end up playing like his lesser brother Jimmy. Not good, not good at all...

I don't think you would have to worry about the rest, it is not liked you wished to be SRV, or to be like him in unspecified ways. The worst I can see happening is severely hurting your fingers if you haven't played guitar enough prior to toughen them up. This wish is kind of what I was looking for in this thread. Simple, selfish, but not trivial. Perhaps a little philosophical.

If I had worded it better, maybe it would've gotten a better reception the first time round.

My "ultimate" wish that I had in mind was that I have enough of everything to be happy but not bored, no less and no more...and by everything I mean everything: money, food, life, health, etc for myself and those I care about.

I wish I could make people's heads explode just by glancing at them with disdain.
The downside would be avoiding mirrors, hahah.

And any other reflective surfaces, and avoiding looking at your loved ones when the have severely frustrated you.

Actually, the downside is it won't work on people from this site unless you actually meet them face to face.
