Enhanced File Dialog appears to install, but does nothing on Vista64 SP1

I'm running Vista64 (with sp1), and have had no success getting Enhanced File Dialog to do more than install. (Admittedly today has been the first time I've managed to get the config window to show up, having reinstalled it with Impulse - with SDC I could only get the config window to appear by manually launching it from the install directory) I use Opera as my browser of choice, but the save file dialog is unchanged after installing EFD. Does it work with Vista64? Is there some setting I need to change to get it working? Considering this is the Object Desktop utility I got the most use from when I was running XP, I would really like to have it up and running on my new OS as well.

I don't thing EFD is Vista ready.  I don't recall it being posted with some of the other lists of Vista'd apps.

Zubaz is correct. Enhanced File Dialogue is not Vista ready.

As Vista does a similar thing natively (you can drag any folder/location to the left side inside a save/open dialog), I don't know whether it will be developed for Vista at all (wouldn't make much sense to do so).

As far as I can tell the folders in the vista save dialog are fixed in size and what locations they point to, which is why I was hoping EFD was working... Oh well, thanks for the clarification.

There are still plenty of apps running in Vista and Windows 7 that use the older style open/save dialogs (that show the standard "Places" sidebar with just 4 large icons along the left side of the dialog). So it would still be nice to use Enhanced File Dialog with apps that, for whatever reason, don't support the newer Vista/W7 dialogs.
