Michelle Malkin is Losing it

I recently read a piece online that detailed how a Rachel Ray ad for Dunkin Donuts was taken off the air after Michelle Malkin wrote about the scarf Ray wore in the ad.  Malkin claimed it resembled a "kiffeyeh" which was worn by terrorists in hostage videos.  Malkin also claims that Collin Farrell, Kanye West and Howard Dean have all been seen wearing similar scarves which she labeled "distinctive hate couture".

I used to enjoy Malkin's spunk on the O'Reilley Factor.  She left the show after demanding an apology for something that transpired (I can't recall what).  She never got the apology and never returned.  I think she's lost her mind.

I think you have to be looking really hard at an iced coffee ad starring Rachel Ray to find "hate couture" and terrorist links.  As for the men she mentioned, I'm willing to bet, as with Rachel Ray, some stylist told them it would look good so they wore it.  Perhaps the stylists are the muslim terrorists!  These poor celebs are just being used to forward the cause!  (tongue planted firmly in cheek)

Perhaps a terrorist plot will be uncovered exposing Ray & Co. and I will have to eat my words.  If such a thing comes to pass, I will personally apologize to Ms. Malkin profusely.  Until then, I can't help but think she has gone paranoid and off her rocker.

Well, at least she is better eye candy than Rosie O'donnel. ;)

Michelle is beautiful and intelligent. I'm really dissappointed in her.

I heard about this on the television this morning! Makes you wonder what brings on something like this for her to say that, and about Rachel Ray, Ms. 'nice and innocent'!

Here's the picture, for those who haven't seen it yet, in all its hate-filled jihadist glory:

Yes, my arch-nemesis. Wear that scarf in fear of my retribution.

Moving off of my Rachel Ray Rivalry (oh, the alliteration!), I think Malkin was smoking pole on this one. That scarf doesn't scream Muslim to me, it screams 'Rachel, where was your wardrobe person that day?!?'

But maybe that's just me.

AP had this:

A statement issued Wednesday by Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Brands Inc., however, said the scarf had a paisley design, and was selected by a stylist for the advertising shoot.

"Absolutely no symbolism was intended," the company said.

Well, duh. Of course they aren't trying to subliminally support terrorists with every iced coffee.

This could be a good Middle Eastern promotion though, like those, "Buy products with the pink ribbon to fight breast cancer (or whatever)" campaigns. "Hey! Abdul! Buy any product with a checked kaffiyeh and 5% percent of your purchase will be donated to blowing up imperialistic infidels!"

I don't get why they pulled the ad all together. I'd just cgi a different scarf onto her and keep rolling.

In my world view, she's a dirty, naughty little thing.

But perhaps I have said too much.

That is an ugly scarf. It looks like a strong wind went by and blew a piece of rag onto her neck.

See, I'd just pay for an extra 30 seconds of ad time, and make the second half have big letters along the top, "Hey Michelle Malkin:", with the screen filled with a hand flipping the bird.

Or maybe a montage of memorable bird-flippings from popular cinema. Rose McGowan wins for the sexiest in Planet Terror. :D
