The most disturbing image of the day.

DATELINE:  This last weekend.  Once again, I don't know when.

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) -- A car plowed into a weekend bike race along a highway near the U.S.-Mexico border, killing one and injuring 10 others, police said.

The 28-year-old driver was apparently drunk and fell asleep when he crashed into the race, said police investigator Jose Alfredo Rodriguez.

Holy.  Caca.  Doodie.

Yes, you're looking at that picture exactly right - the car is plowing into those poor bikers.

Double-you.  Tee.  Eff.

There's not a whole lot more to say about this (if you want to read the original story, go ahead.)  I freakin' hate drunk drivers.  Hopefully this guy will never have the opportunity to drive under the influence again.

Ugh.

I didn't say it was the 'funniest' image of the day, I said it was the most disturbing.

And I can't even look at it for very long without being close to vomiting.

Holy cow.  That's truly frightening.

Wow.

This is very disturbing indeed.  A similar accident in Germany killed an Australian olympic cyclist and injured a number of other elite Aussie athletes as well.  Bikes and cars just don't mix.

I wonder how many were seriously hurt?  I'm amazed that it was just one that died.  Holy cw.  That guy needs to never drive again and spend some serious time "alone" thinking about what he did.

I also don't know how somebody could stand there and take a picture.  I'd be running to try and help.  Gives me the creeps.

This is actually a still from a video - it was taking routine video of the bike race for the nightly news or some such nonsense when that guy came out of NOWHERE and slammed into them.

On a Mexican website they actually had the video of it. As soon as it happened, the whole thing gets crazy as the cameraman and crew rush up to try and help.

Wish I could find the site again so I could link it.

No, perhaps I'd better not. It was worse than the still is.
