Just to clarify... (otherwise Known as "I'm an idiot")

Ya'll have been great so far - thanks to everyone who has helped out. Just a couple of quick ones here:

1) How the heck do you use governors? I tried selecting one and then setting up a build order but it seemed as though that was ignored. I still had to manually select every building on every planet I wanted put up.

2) Which numbers are income and which are production? Are they the same thing? If not, what's the difference?

3) What's the difference (in game that is) between manufacturing and economy and how do I figure out what each are.

Thanks ya'll.

1. You need to set the planets to use them. Click the Details button on the planet's screen and pick the Governor from the list.

2. When you select a system, the inhabited planets show Revenue (the income) and Spending (used for production).

3. Manufacturing adds to the planets capacity for turning BC's into production and adds some free production. Economy just boosts the income from taxes. Bonuses from buildings are shown on the planet's Details screen. Empire bonuses are on the Stats page of the Domestic Policy screen.

Ah, thanks. That clears it up. Regarding Governors: so I have to pick a governor for every planet then? I assume there are 4 different governors so you can have 4 different build orders but are there any other differences between 'em?

Thanks again.

Nope, you can use the same Governor on multiple planets, and changing that Governor's build order affects ALL of its planets.

The multiple Governors just allow you to specialize certain planets without micromanagement.
