Good RA Rush Replay for 1.05?

Hi, I have recently started using the vasari after being a long time TEC player, and I have been focusing a lot on RA rushes. I have no problem doing this in a large game with 1 or 2 allies, but In a smaller game (1 v 1 or 2 v 2) I get crushed. I have done a lot of reading on the strategy and am well accquanted with it, but I am just not that great at it. I am presently in search of a good RA rush replay, and I have found a few, but there is a problem. I have version 1.05, not 1.04 or 1.03, and every time I try and watch a replay from earlier versions of the game it crashes. I would be very happy if someone could post one or a link to it. Also, tips for the strategy are much appreciated as well.

While not being an expert myself, it is my impression that pulling off a RA rush in 1v1 is basicly impossible and still very difficult in a 2v2 since they can simply rush you and crush you before it comes online.

That said, I'm sure someone here more experienced than I can help you :)

as said above, there are so many other better options in 1v1s and 2v2s that pay off much faster. For a 1v1 (and usually a 2v2 too) I love assailants, which my friends and I are starting to think are more powerful than illuminators cost/dmg wise. For a bigger game, go Transporters and Kanraks or fast tech to enforcer/subverter for a slower but more powerful attack.

There pretty much right. A RA rush in 1vs1 and 2vs2 isnt worth it but then its situational since it can be said vasari are one of the best at spreading. First there probably aren't enough planets between you and your opponent. second Using assailants and sentinals would be far more effective on a smaller map since you can upgrade ther power with the same research and will see signifacant results soon. not to much the the assailant and sentinal strategy fully counters illums.

You almost make it sound as though every Vasari has a right to get RA up and running on any type of map with any number of players. If it were that easy to get RA up and running there'd be no reason for anyone to play any race other than Vasari.

Opposing players, at least halfway decent ones, are fully aware of the Vasari's potential to get RA up and they won't allow that to happen if they can. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that in 3v3's and 4v4's the opposing Vasari(s) might even be the top target. Firstly, you don't want them to get RA up, and secondly, their ships are very expensive and thus you can expect them to have smaller fleets which means that you can try to crush them early on with your large TEC fleet of cheap LRMs or your Advent fleet of powerful illuminators.

I'll only play Vasari on large maps where the player density is not going to be real high because if I think I'm not going to have a good chance of getting RA up and running, I don't want to have to pay for the Vasari's expensive supply point hogging ships, but that's just me. I do like the Vasari and think they have some great ships, btw, and Vasari was the first race I learned.
