Pirate Bounty goes poof!

The bounty I put on my opponents head goes t o 0 at the alst minute, leaving the highest on me.

This is something I have just noticed in a 1v1 game I am playing against a hard AI. U put bounty on his head and suddenly, the bounty drops to zero leaving me with the highest price on my head. I have never had this happen before and I f ind it very odd and excrutiatingly annoying. Is this a v. 1.05 thing? has it happened to anyone else or is it just some random glitch?

oh, and as far as I can tell he isnt being attacked, its a 1v1, so its only him and I and I was the one to get hit with the pirates last.

Maybe he was attacking a neutral planet and some of his ships were destroyed?

It doesn't matter where the pirates are. Pirates attacking his ships will lower his bounty. It doesn't matter if they're pirates sent in a raid or the pirates guarding a planet. Either doing damage to his fleet will lower the bounty on him.

Thats good to know, but at the same time this was 2000 credits of bounty
So, it'd have to be a decent sized attack to make it go,
and to make it go instantly too

Did he lose a planet at that moment?

Did you forget a 0 on your number? 2000 credits is barely anything when it comes to bounty.
