Scoring Change in Latest Version?

OK, I took a little operational pause to actually go to work, and I'm wondering if the scoring changed with the latest version (1.03A.057 on drengin.net or 1.035 as shown in the MV listing).

I just had probably my best game to date, capturing many alien peoples instead of killing them, playing with abundant habitable worlds instead of occasional ones. I won by culture-capturing everything just before ascending.

This game was almost identical to the last game I played except that there were more habitable worlds (and thus more people), I won easily instead of eeking out a victory (also leading to more people), and the version changed. However, my score is less than half my last score.

Am I ever going to be able to get a 2000 point game? (:(

Yes, they changed the scoring system a bit with the last patch to make it more fair. They've also said they are going to go back through the old scores at some point to change them accordind to the new scoring system.

From looking at your last score, I'd say that would have been atleast 2000 points if you'd been using an older patch. So, congrats on the good game. :CONGRAT:

More than necessary, otherwise new players will *never* catch up. >:(

Whew. I was basking in glory and patting myself on the back all the way through the end-game review until I wne to submit it, at which point I must admit some foul language escaped my lips.

It'll be even better if they do post-process the old scores to bring everything in line.... Stardock is cool.

Thanks for the feedback!
