Question I can't find an answer to...

Just got the game and after reading the manual, I still don't really understand what I'm doing. What constitutes a turn? It seems that I just keep going without ever hitting the 'turn' button. What happens when I do (I see no real effect)? I'm not at all new to these type of games, being a long time veteran of turn-based strategy games, but this is the first one I've tried that I can't even understand the basic game mechanics. Is there a FAQ somewhere that at least explains all this. I breezed thru AOW2 with no problems. In that game, when you hit the end of turn button, it was the *end of turn*. Please help. I want to like this. Thanks...

You probably have the option for AUTO END OF TURN checked.

I think if you move the ships (like a colony ship) it auto turns. there may be a way tu turn that off.
You are in your turn as long as you don't hit the turn button. Early in the game when you have not met any aliens it may seem like turns don't do anything but you can auto explore your survey ship and set a colony ship to auto pilot to test this...hope this helps
