What version are you using? Trial? Paid?

Open the Windowblinds config, select the System Info tab, click the Copy Text button on top right, paste all info here.

Robert Brewer I take it that everything was working fine and then it just stopped working correctly

Go into configuration and post your system info, could be that something has gotten borked (messed up).

Made any changes to your computer recently?

yes, everything is/was working fine and I can switch it back to areo and it goes back fine, but I kind of want to be able to use some blinds since I bought this program. No, I have not made any changes to my computer since this program was installed...just yesterday.

So, from what you are saying this happens with any WB skin you try to apply?

If so you may have just gotten a bad download. Have you tried uninstalling, running a clean up program like CCleaner and a registry cleaner, rebooting and reinstalling WindowBlinds and then rebooting again. Just remember to set WB back to default before uninstalling.

It's worth a try if you haven't done it.  ;)

EDIT: How did you install it, as a stand alone, Stardock Central (SDC) or Impulse?

It's normal for WB to switch to Windows standard when applying a blind,at least, that's what mine does. You may have something interfering with it actually skinning though, thus the classic appearance. What security and AV apps are you using?

With it disabled,did you apply aero,then reboot,then apply a WB?Give it a shot.If that doesn't work,
you may want to try reply # 6 and reinstall WB with it disabled.

OK, I have done all of these things and nothing is working. Who do I contact about possibly getting a refund or aplying it to another product...very frustrating.

It's been 3 weeks, have you tried to update WB's since your last post?
If you have and it's still not working, maybe we can still help you here.
I highly recommend you use RevoUninstaller, available free hereWWW Link
Back up any WindowBlind skins you may have, make sure you have aero applied then you should
uninstall WindowBlinds with revo set on max.Remove everything it tells you to,reboot, then disable your One Care,re-install WB's,reboot again and try running WB's again.Let us know how it goes, but I'm out of any other ideas at this point.

Also,if you haven't done so,please create a ticket with Stardock support. They can help you further, and can discuss account details and refunds with you.You should get an autoreply quickly, but it's Friday,so you may not hear from support until after the weekend.

If you try what Wizard suggests and you still have the same problems you do need to contact [email protected].

When you do be sure to list all the steps you took to correct the problem. This information will help the support folks. You can even give them a link to this post.

Good luck and post back here and let us know what's going on.  ;)

Robert Brewer I've been corrected. The proper address for support is [email protected]. Drop the 'e'. I apologize for that mistake.  ;)

Well hell, I just did all the above listed and it still doesn't work...same results. At this point I have spent way too much time on this.

Thanks a lot to all the replies, but I probably won't be on these boards much anymore because I doubt I will buy any more products.

Thanks,

R

you do understand this isn't Stardock here, this a community site, we have nothing invested in you buying the product, this is solely a community site. So, by threatening not to buy any more products you won't really get any sort of reaction. And your frustration isn't exactly justified if you haven't actually tried to contact Stardock about your problem. So give Stardock an email and see what they say. I don't believe you can say you've been trying to fix the problem, if you haven't contacted them.
