Arrow questions

There are two arrow thingies in the game, I don't know their meaning:

Yellow arrow:

Can somebody illustrate me?  :)

I *think* the white arrow means that is the squad leader.

The yellow arrow: dunno.

Hi Avsari,

The yellow tick beneath the planet indicates that there is an artifact at that planet.

The White arrow above the ship indicates that this ship is the fleet leader and is the ship that the other ships in the fleet will form up on.
