Permission to use...

I just went to the Library and saw the new LS' High-Res mod links and couldn't help notice the SD Logo (certified) inserted above it.

1) I would need a formal permission to use that particular asset to insert into the next Intro-Movie for X-Worlds #06-A.

2) How does one get to receive that kind of "certification"? Is this about quality or anythin' special from the files themselves which we'd change or somehow, alter to comply with some mysterious SD standards? Not that i'd really urge to receive such stuff (for my efforts, i think)... but, i'm really puzzled.

No special secret standards, no. It may get applied to mods we particularly like or think are exceptionally good, but there's nothing special about it aside from a shiny sticker on the mod page.

Oh... that's what it means, really?

Well, if i ever should receive such an "honor" i'd need to WORK much harder at my stuff and perfect it sooooo much - it would be truly appreciated (or evaluated enough) by more people than just plain simple me!

I now will assume the SD_Logo can be used in the XW_Intro-Movie.

Er, as to that, unless you're using it in conjunction with the game title itself, it'd be preferable not to since that could imply that we've given some particular endorsement, or that it is in some way official (I actually had Logic remove such markings from his installer for same reason) to a degree beyond the 'hey we think this is nifty' of the sticker in the library.
