    I played this game for awhile now and I really like it. There just seem to be a ship class missing between cruisers and capital ships

I always look at it as this:

tiny - starfighters

small - larger starfighters

medium - cruisers (it even says this in the game the first time you build one)

large - destroyers

massive - battleships/capitals

destroyers are between Frigs and Cruisers.

Battlecruisers are between Cruisers and Battleship.

There are a couple of "battlecruisers" built at the capital factory.

I would like to see more new frigs/cruisers for each race, not just the 5 frigs/cruisers. 3 destroyers added to the 5 frigs and 1 colony ship, 3 "battlecruisers" in addition to the 5 cruisers.

I think 'Off-Topic' is probably the most confusing place this thread could have ended up in, given that both Sins AND GalCiv link here...

(Thank god we don't have a dedicated SotS forum, that would end in even more confusion.)


PS: Piznit, cruisers are larger than destroyers.

I think the most common way to map hullsizes to classes would be

tiny -> frigates
small -> destroyers
medium -> cruisers
large -> battleships
huge -> dreadnought

Here's how I map hullsizes:

Tiny: Satilties/interceptors (depends on how I make the ship look.)

Small: Fighters

Medium: Destroyer

Large: Cruiser

Huge: Battleship
