Please fix the tribute bug soon!

With all the recent updates I thought this had already been addressed but it seems it hasn't.
When I need to pay a tribute to another empire the tribute is *substracted* from my expensed and not added.
Effectively it means that paying tribute is GOOD for my economy.

This has caused a game of mine to become spoiled since I had to pay tribute to keep peace and it turns out it made my empire stronger so I could withstand the oppressors better!

Please add the minus sign in a next version. Thanks ;)

you see what you did Frogboy! You got us so spoilt that we now even *expect* your patches to be out within a day! ;)

Hehe. It's so funny to me. I can see the headline soon: "In hindsight, BRAD WARDELL seen as destroyer! Game Industry TOTAL COLLAPSE!"

The text would then describe how customers expected actual follow-through on game polishing, and patches on a par with that delivered during the halcyon days that followed the release of GC. And to think, WE are the giants living in that era! LOL

...bows...

Though I'm forced to wait for the stand-alone patches, I'm still stunned. The 'normal' method for patching games, even at its best, just makes me

...well, it makes me want to buy games from Stardock! :CONGRAT:

Can I also add on the tribute question if it hasn't been raised:

Is there a reason why when I buy a special good off a civ (Frictionless Clothing, for example), I don't get it showing up as *my* commodity?

Because you can't retrade it. You're licensing it.

However I would like to see it listed as "in use"somewhere to provide me with reassurances my credits are well-spent.

Just a note, hitting "Refresh" from the Software screen didn't show the update. I had to back out of SDC completely and log back in.

Is there a forum somewhere for SDC suggestions and bugs?

Yes! There are bits of 'missing' info like this that cause confusion. Thanks for the clarification, however.

Does this fix also take care of the tribute bug on the AI side? They were also capable of laying down massive tributes (several hundred bcs for dozens of turns with an empire of 1 planet and no ships/tech) and gaining money for it.

Anyway, this level of support is great. I can't believe new builds are getting released with bugfixes right after the bugs are pointed out! Every other game company on the planet could take a lesson...

Not a forum, but there are a couple threads stickied at the top of this one on the topic. :)

Hm. I guess the registration issues thread's about as close as we currently get. :)
