It's not working anymore....!

I haven't installed any mods. I've got 1.0357A installed and have had it installed for a while, but all of a sudden, just started happening today....something is broken. You know when you colonize a new planet and you get an event to kill a 100 people and get a bonus to your planet, well I always take it if the bonus is more then 20%. Whats happening though in the three games I started today (trying to figure this out so I started a couple) is that I get the negative impact on my alignment, but not bonus to my planet. What the heck is going on. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem or if my comp is just wacked or something.... (:(
