Has anyone tested...

...to colonize all those crappy little planets and then give em to the AI?

Would they get rid of them by disbanding them or would they let themselfes be driven into financial ruin by the maintenance?

If noone has tested this yet I think I will and after i'll report what I saw.

I haven't tried it with the real races, but when one of my PQ 13 planets defected to the I-League they disbanded the colony after one turn. I imagine the other races might do that too.

I tried it today... colonized all crappy planets and handed em to the torians when I met them. One turn later none of them were left!
