I forgot today was Friday. I actually had the day off so it felt like Saturday. Anyway just some randomness again.

1. What was the best meal your mom cooked? or dad? My favorite meal my mom cooked was what we called pot pie growing up but now it's called ham and dumplings when I make it. It is comfort food at it's best. My dad always made pancakes.
2. Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend? No plans at all except to mow the lawn before it gets scorching hot. I think that means the second the sun comes up but I don't want to irritate my neighbors. It's getting to be a jungle though. I also want to go to church on Sunday. The heat thing is an issue because I have no AC in the truck.
3. What was your worst punishment when you were a kid? I got major spankings when I was a kid but I think I hated time out more. I hated all my punishments. I think I spend 90% of my teenage years grounded.
4. What makes you happy? hugging my kids, reading a good book, bills paid, money in the bank,

My mom made the best macaroni and cheese. My dad made only one thing, fudge.
Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend? We are going to a wedding. This one should be lots of fun.
What was your worst punishment when you were a kid? Being sent to my room. I would have taken the spanking anytime over being stuck in a room.
What makes you happy? Boudica after reading your answer to this one, I think I agree whole heartedly.

Dad can grill some mean steaks to this day. As a kid, I remember mom's gingerbread with melted butter. My brother refers to mom's cooking as "crack" because he's addicted and can't get enough...he ventures over often to get his fix.
2. Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend?
I spent an extended weekend in Corpus Christi with my wife, children, mom and dad. They had fun on the beach and in the pool while I attended the most horrific, 2-day, death-by-powerpoint training in which the presenters read from slides all day long from 9 AM - 4 PM on Thursday AND Friday!
3. What was your worst punishment when you were a kid?
To this day, the King Size Whoopin' lives in infamy and is a legend in our home at holiday gatherings. I was all of 7- or 8-years-old, and my brother could have only been 3 or 4. We crawled in and out of the clothing racks and on top of the shirt cabinets at a big and tall men's shop called King Size after being told numerous times to quit doing so. I think the only thing dad bought that evening was a new belt. And the rest is history...
4. What makes you happy?
Having freedom to be who I am and to have the creative liberty to express myself makes me happy.

Mom made the best ever roastbeef dinners w/ potatoes and carrots. While I haven't any memories of dad ever cooking, he was generous and shared his thermos of coffe and the wax-paper covered cookies, when we went ice-fishing back in Wi.
2. Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend? Hehe, already had em! I"m late to the party, as usual. Went shopping for furniture on Sat.
3. What was your worst punishment when you were a kid? Getting a "spanking" with a belt.
4. What makes you happy? Puppies, babies, getting a great snapshot of wildlife, hearing from my sisters, and getting hugs from my son. That song by Tom T Hall says it all, "I Love"...
