now becuase i know you, and you know me "even tough S_o_L doesnt sound familiar right now -. - (wtf i told you my name like 2 days ago?) i'm confused about the fact you see siddy's thread as an actual rankin system?
Yes, I remember you, Shadowsun. I don't expect to win any awards for having a great short-term memory any time soon.
makes me wonder, you must be pretty noob to get owned by a newby, then call him noob afterwards or plainly insult new people for not playing singleplayer first "even tough that statement is completly baseless so i dont know about you, but IMHO i liek it to see new faces in the lobby, and instead of flaming, i greet them, instead of the flaming i see from DT members
I can't speak for other DT members but as the unofficial cheerleader for Sins online multiplayer I'm always happy to see and to welcome new people online. I like to chat with new players and to take the time to explain things to them and to answer their questions and to offer advice.
[DT]Siddy -- first tier.
A very confident player who possesses an excellent if not exceptional knowledge of the game. He is comfortable playing any race and builds the right units and structures at the right times and is great at fleet micro-management. Siddy is unquestionably one of the best players in the game and can often win maps for his team single-handedly. He can often be found under a smurf name winning numerically lopsided games with [DT]WHIPperSNAPper (also under a smurf name). Smurfs--you can add them.
doesnt mean anything, just a stat a friend of him wrote, even if he sucked at the game this is what wouldve been written
You really don't have any idea who Siddy is, do you? He may not be the #1 Sins player in the world but he's definitely in the top 10 if not top 5.
Tier 1, tier 2, does this mean tier 1 is better then tier 2? in fact, who determines this? everyone does??? no it doesnt, DT determines, dt wrote this thread, all dt memebers then help in this thread, writing useless stats for their friends and everyone they dont like is put on the special list right?
At this point your post is starting to become laughable. You're taking that entire thread too seriously and blowing a gasket over it. It should be pretty clear to most people that that thread is for amusement purposes. (It's not like it's going to be used to issue monetary values to players for the purpose of drafting competitive teams while having to adhere to a salary cap.)
i prefer to stick to the system where everyone is left in their value, everyone is just in the lobby, playing and having fun, not divided into a pro's side and a noobs side, that's your dream isnt it?
I'm not really against an in-game player matching system that would make it easier for players to play against players of similar skill (though it wouldn't work since Sins doesn't have high enough player counts).
this java app thingy some player controlled chat where the player decides who is pro or .. lets jsut say.. where the player decides who gets to play becuase seriously as soon as the player doesnt liek anyone he doesnt get to participate into this system, thus having only the non-hardcore gamers to play with wich is just Corrupt right?
I have no idea what led you to think that. The proposed Internet Relay Chat (IRC) pug match channel would be open to any Sins player who knew where to find it regardless of skill. Now, if two hundred people frequent the channel regularly and if it gets to the point where numerous matches are organized each hour then other pug channels could spin off of it for various groups of people, one of which might be "top players only", but so what?
we did play b4, 2 on 2, we owned u.. or .. did i afterwards, you got mad for losing becuase the teams were unfair? well maybe, but i REQUESTED you to switch teams beforehand remeber? you didnt liek to play with him becuase he had low stats.. and i ASKED you to switch team mates out of understanding.. did you? no you didnt switch, you lost, and blamed your team-mate for it, wich was totally not nice.
I don't understand what you're complaining about. Before we started I made the disclaimer that it might be a 2-v-1 or 1.5 v 1 since the guy on my team had never played online before even though (according to him) he was really good at single player. I think he quickly and painfully discovered that there's a huge difference between the single player game and the online game. Yeah, I blame him for the loss. I personally hadn't been defeated. That seems pretty reasonable. Why are you making a big deal out of this?
we got in a conversation afterwards... aout this java app.. wich the moment i understood what it was i was like "Fuck no, plz dont let this get implemented" becuase Corrpution happens in 100% of that type of system, whoever runs the show has a harsh feeling to someone, or get's one later one, and bans him for it. Multiple leaders? friends ofcourse.. you hate that guy?? sure ban him.. i dont care.. your my friend right??
If you've never been a member of a PUG match community nor ever used IRC (Internet Relay Chat) before then you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Playing 5-v-5 PUG matches dramatically improved my Unreal Tournament capture-the-flag experience. Those games are competitive and intense and played with voice comm amongst and against friends, and you can't find anything like that on the public servers.
Sins isn't a cybersport like a first person shooter, but I don't see any reason why Sins players wouldn't benefit from having an active PUG match community. An active IRC-based PUG match community would offer people an IRC chat channel where they could get to know one another better, make friends, use voice comm, and organize games with balanced teams on competition-grade custom maps.
You have a problem with that?
during that conversation, a DT guy showed up, flaming a newby ofcourse, challenging me, i said no.. for obvious reasons even you understood... or.. pretended to understand??? you even warned him i was RLY good wich confused me, cuase you were 100% sure you lost becuase of your ally weren't you?
I don't think we really got a chance to engage one another since I quit and ended the game when it became clear that it was going to be a 2-on-1 and after my useless ally had quit, but at some point I concluded that you were pretty good, perhaps based on your player record.
As for my clanmate; I don't always agree with all of my clanmates' behavior all of the time. Occasionally one or two of them can get a little pompous, but it's all in good fun. A little trash talking adds some color to the game.
th2 noobs who pwned 2 of your member's asses were, should i say... newbs, asking wich unit would do well vs that unit, asking cash, having to remeber them what to upgrade, tellig them about tradeports, the kind of people with a 0 0 0 stat.. or a 1 0 1 or 0 1 1
I have a hard time believing your story. Perhaps they were just pretending to be noobs and humoring you.
stats dont mean a damn thing, and that get's me back to my point of making a ranking system.. it's useless stats mean nothing, you can have 1000 games and not have won or lost any becuase of minidumps!!! peopel who rate other's are peopel that take the time becuase they like that person, i dont liek you, why would i rate you? you dont liek me, why would you rate me?
A stat showing that someone has won 80% of the games they've played when they've played many games is meaningful though they should always be taken with a grain of salt. As for the ratings in the other thread--they are not based on stats but rather on players' direct experience with having played with and agaisnt the people being rated. (You really didn't figure that out?)
I'm stunned by how seriously you're taking that other thread. You're taking all of the [DT] banter and that other thread much, much too seriously.
so if you still didnt stop reading i guess you've got some brains over there, and actualyl start to see what life's like
I found reading your post rather painful due to its broken English (not your fault; it's obviously a second language) and rambling lack of coherency. In the future I suggest trying to condense your thoughts into a few coherent paragraphs.
just .. look at your own post, you took the time rating YOURSELF??? you must be so full of yourself, just exit that internet screen, you've been stuck on www.whatiwanttobe.org for way.. way WAAY to long
I thought it was an accurate and fair description. Do you take issue with it?
