May Day!

What can there possibly be left,
what can we salvage from the wreckage,
an unsent package,
found it's way into the ocean,
and remains undelivered,
shivering upon the waves a'twinkling,
in the full noon,
to gaze so longingly into the would-be recipient's beady eyes,
I realized that when the wings fell off,
and the engine sputtered,
destiny shuttered.

The airborne became seaworthy,
for as long as it took to bob in every wake,
that shook hands with squalls and the feet of undertoes,
so proud to ignore every frantic plea,
warnings...
like how it's so hard to build sandcastles on the ocean floor,
but I will still be the king that reigns over the unbarnacled and yet to rust,

crashing,

defying,

colliding with anyone that said I couldn't turn a smile into a buck while cashing in on trust.

Thanks Island gurl, and Nobody Important...not my favorite piece, but I definitely need to expand my content. I think Duluth calls out to me too much sometimes, all I want to write about is love and shipwrecks........ha ha. Then again, my love is a lot like a shipwreck.
