Scrolling problem, please help

Right, this is REALLY starting to bother me, so I'm posting in the only section that looks appropriate.

I'm not sure what causes it, but sometimes my screen starts to pan to one side, usually the left, and it just WILL NOT STOP!

I can't stop it moving to the left without quiting and restarting the game.

Is this a feature? Is there something I'm missing?

Hmm, it seems you can stop it by scrolling in the same direction that it continues to scroll in.

I hope that helps someone.

Planets and ships spinning out of control and screen scrolling issues are most generally due to the use of an Athlon 64 x2 CPU without updated CPU drivers. If this the case with your machine, download and install the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) file found at the bottom of this page.

Apologies for the late reply, but I feel it is necessary to add that whilst it is an AMD Athlon 64 processor, it is not dual core.
