Need both expansions for galciv2?

Coming back to Galciv2 after a break.

Im thinking of getting this latest expansion "Twilight of the Arnor", but I only have the original (ie no dark avatar)

Should I be getting "Dark avatar" as well, or is it even needed.

Im figuring its like civ4 when you can just get "Beyond the sword" and not worry about buying warlords.

Is this right?

You definitely need Dark Avatar in order to get Twilight of the Arnor. See the NOTE: under description of the Twilight of the Arnor (expansion) option. Click the "Purchase" button to the upper left to get to a listing of the various options.

You can save a few bucks by getting the "Expansion Bundle" as opposed to buying both expansions separately.
