[BUG] Fire Aura Skill Affects Self

It seems like the torchbearer has some weird attack time changes between ice mode and fire mode presently.  namely, attack time is listed as lower in ice mode than in fire mode, and the health damage indicator from normal shots is typically higher when in ice mode against creeps than in fire mode.

That said, it also appears that the Fire Aura skill stacks on the Torchbearer himself, not just on allies as the description says.

Ice Mode Image

Fire Mode Image (start of fire mode; note higher attack time than ice mode)

Fire Mode Image 2  (fire mode after spending time has passed; fire aura appears to have reduced the attack time, and it shifts in increments).

wow u know the fire aura gives u the increased speed right it says 5% speed every somewhat seconds for a max of 25% increased speed we all knew this plus the dmg is soppose to be lower because ur spells are far stronger or i think thats why its like that

EDIT

its an aura it affects all allys including u in certain area pretty sure all auras in every game do this

So you aren't your own ally? :p

And fire mode is supposed to attack slower, AFAIK.  It's good that way.

Ahh, I was under the assumption allies meant only allies, not you.  Most games I've played work this way.

Which games? Most I've played with auras (Blizzard games, granted), they affect the owner as well.

I do not think he was saying most auras work this way. He was saying 'allies' does not have to include 'player'. They can be seperate sets.

Auras should affect the caster, it's just common sense.

Not when it's worded the way it currently is. Tooltips should NEVER rely on something as subjective as "common sense". They need to be simple and most importantly precise. If they leave room to manouver as to what they mean (or worse - are blatantly incorrect) then they are in need of repair.

Why buff your allies, but not yourself? I didn't talk about the tooltip at all, but just sense.

IMO, you should just clarify the tooltip to include the TB.

The reason why people are questioning whether the fire aura affecting oneself is intentional or not is, I think, because that means you are always receiving a full effect from it, whereas with the ice aura it only reaches its full effect after around 10 seconds of fighting the enemy.
