Stillness

With palms together,
Good Morning Everyone,
Good Morning Everyone,
Talking about our spirituality is like talking about eating ice cream. We must eat our ice cream to truly appreciate it for itself. We must each eat our spirituality and by this I mean, of course, we must each practice.
Our practice takes any form a moment has. Moments are infinite. Our practice opportunities are infinite. More, they are not static, they, like God or the Absolute, are not nouns.
When we sit in meditation we sit still, but this is an illusion. Even a stone Buddha is in motion.
So what is this stillness? It is everything in motion as one.
Oh boy. Now I've gone off the deep end of the pool. Not really. Think about it. Even when we sit absolutely still, we are in motion: things are happening, we hear, see smell, taste, thing, feel; the earth is moving, the moon is moving, the sun is moving, yikes, even the galaxy is moving!
When we "see" this "everything moving" we are in the heart of stillness itself.
Let's practice losing our grip today. Sit still. Let's be stillness in motion. As you read this note, become awake to the fact that you are reading this note. Be aware that you are responding in some one way or another. Yet, as we open that "hand of thought" it floats away.
Just another thought; just another feeling: nothing special.
Be well.
