equiping characters with multiples of same class and archers seeing Regulus's mines

Not sure if it's a bug really or not but:
Is it supposed to allow equiping of more than one breast plate or two or more pairs of boots, gauntlets etc, rings are fine realistic multiple but not the rest surely.
Are archers supposed to see regulus's explosive mines? They seem very interested and wont leave them alone, and don't seem to get destroyed by their attack.
