IA problems under 1.1beta?

I have been playing 1.1 for a week or so and noticed some IA problems with my fleets.

basicly. even though i set their attack range to "gravity well" which should cause them to attack any valid target in the gravity well. I have noticed that if they are far enough away from a target they will not attack it. after taking a planet for example i have often seen my ships clumped up on one side of the gravity well while several structures sit on the opposite side of the planet unmolested.

some time if i send my ships into a group of structures and target a specific one. the ships will go in. attack that one structure and attack surrounding structures as normal. but as soon as the terget structure is destroyed they will often stop attacking near by structures and return to their original place of rest.

strike craft opperate a little differently. hanger craft have not been effected and will attack all enemies in teh gravity well. some strike craft with the fleet work normaly and others have the glitch but less frequently than regular ships. it seems capital ship strike craft will attack anything but the strike craft attached to carrier ships are effected by the bug.

Has any one else whitnessed this issue? has it already been addressed?

I haven't seen this. Would it be fair to assume that the problem behavior happens with the fleet leader as well? All the ships in the fleet are tied to it, so even if their engagement ranges are set to gravity well they won't stray beyond the fleet's cohesion setting. But, if the fleet leader set to gravity well refuses to go and attack, something smells funky.

Can you upload the replay of it somewhere? A time index where it happens would be great too :P

I had not thought of that. I didnt have that problem before the upgrade. if i left a fleet in an enemy gravity well long enough they eradicated everything. but i played a game today and sent a fleet out without any capital ship. just a mob of cruisers and planet crackers. sure enough when I left them sitting in a gravity well they eradicated everything. I will have to look into the fleet cohesion issue since i usually spread it out to protect my fleet from aoe effects.

Sounds good, let me know :) Again, if they are behaving strangely, it'd be great if you could upload the save or a replay of it somewhere like rapidshare so IC can take a peek since usually odd AI behavior is hard to reproduce.
