I have tried both servers, at various times of day, with and without antivirus and firewall active...

System has 200+ GB free on an NTFS drive... Running windows xp with 1GB RAM, WinXP sp3, etc. etc....

Any advice at all?  I'm getting pretty frustrated.

*edit* Just a note to say I have had success with other d/l , like Unreal Gold, GalCivII, etc.  Just Witcher that's a problem.

I had another attempt fail overnight.  This time I was trying to "download and archive" the game, hoping I could d/l it that way (found that in another part of the forums), and this morning, this is the error log:

What am I supposed to do about this?

What's even more frustrating is that I actually have the full, 8.41GB file "BIT56B.tmp" in the twee download directory. wtf?

Update:  I have finally successfully d/l and installed the witcher ee...  Seems I finally got the right combination -

1 - Disabled AntiVirus

2 - Defined Impulse as a trusted app. in the firewall

3 - used the d/l and archive function (right click menu)

4 - Restored from the archive.

I'm not sure what the real problem was... I even tried this combination several times, so no telling...

Good luck if you are having this problem...
