[Interface] Lack of Scroll Wheel on Laptop makes game hard to play

Laptop Gameplay

Like the title suggests, I'm playing on a laptop with a non-standard scroll funtionality (IBM Lenovo Thinkvantage T500).

Game runs pretty well, but it doesn't have a standard scroll wheel, instead, it has a button you can hold down, and when you move the cursor, it scrolls while the button is being held.  This functionality isn't recognized by the game.  (This bug persists in Sins of a Solar Empire as well).

This wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to set the zoom key bindings to another key (like PgUp and PgDn).  I would like to think that those would be the default zoom keys  (get on that UI dudes *giggles*)

So, in short, key bindings would be nice, being able to have this scroll button work would be swanky, and PgUp PgDn should be the default key bindings for scrolling.

*hugs*

I have one, not to easy to use in bed with no mousing surface...

"Get a mouse" isn't a solution.  Does "Get a mouse" automagically bind PgUp and PgDn to zoom-in and zoom-out?  Thought not.

I agree to this. This is one of the few games where you can't zoom with buttons. Should be fixed soon.

Concur. Having an alternative to mouse-zoom can be very handy. Mouse wheel zoom only was a problem for me in supcom too.

Zaisha, in supcom you can zoom in with holding "q" and zoom out with holding "e". most likely the functionality is still there in Demigod just it has no button assigned. That being said, I strongely recommend getting a mouse for your laptop.

End of TheBigOne's quote

I believe "D'oh!" would be the correct reply here. ^_^'

However, this should also mean that the funtionality should be relatively easy to reinstate.

Of course, in programming "relatively easy" tends to mean: "shouldn't take half a dozen people more than 4 or 5 days, with only moderate amounts of wailing and gnashing of teeth". ;P
