Did You Know about WC Personal Galleries?

Reading through some of the answers in the WinCustomize Member Survey, I was surprised to see many didn’t know about the personal  sites that each user can have here.  Any member, subscriber or not, can create their own personal site on WinCustomize with their own personal url.  Personal sites can contain a bunch of information like images, links, guestbook, articles, and much more. 

You can share the page with friends and the public to show off the skins you have created, as your page contains all the skins you have uploaded to WinCustomize.

Since you are highlighting the photo album function is it working again?  The function had not allowed members to upload pictures for sometime. :S   A very nice feature if it is now working.

Hey Zoomba, thanx for the info but when following your instructions (at the first click, in fact) I got the following: Sorry, but you must change your nickname in order to create a personal site. Your nickname contains characters which are no longer valid! I didn't want to fool around and create a mess that I'd end up annoying someone at SD tech support with and take who knows what to straighten out. DrJ0622 has invalid characters? Oh well, thanks anyway. :NOTSURE:

dr j...it's the space in your name. Personal Sites only support alpha numeric nicks....1-9 a-z had to change mine from @Lantec way back when the sites were introduced.

@Lantec & 2of3: Would changing my 'nick' goof up my registration and OD Ultimate stuff? How does one change one's nickname?

I don't want to cause WC/SD tech support, etc. alot of needless trouble....

As far as I know, no...those are tied to your email address, not your nym. You can change it in Stardock Account tab in your account settings.

Dr. J....go to the Wincustomize home page

 

on the right under your name click on settings

 

on the settings page choose the "Stardock Account" tab

 

enter your email address and password and it will bring up a screen where you can change it

Uploading to the personal photo album using IE 6 works, but still causes IE 7 to crash, at least for me. :NOTSURE:

I thought about it , and got the same reply in the box as DrJBHL ... ;p  For the last few years I have been known on websites and forums as mike b1954 ... ;)  .. and I really don't want to change it , at all ..Even mikeb1954 just does not 'feel' right ... and the setup does not include underscores .. as in 'mike_b1954',which is the start of my email addy ... so I will not be taking advantage of Personal Pages ...  ;p  This really need to be fixed as I am sure that a lot of members, myself included would like to use the Personal Pages without changing their nickname/handle ... Just my 2p...

Mine hasn't worked for months, and I know of a few others who get an error page when trying to view their photo albums. All I did was try to create a new album/upload a photo, then the whole thing went down the shitter and has been the same since.

Mine works ok as long as I use IE, FF kills it.
