Tourism too powerful??

I am playing a ToA game on begginer.  At the start I am strapped for cash. But sometime during the first 100 turns a "tourism" event fires and I get loads and loads of cash, guaranteeing that I will have no more economic problems ever.  Is this a feature or a bug?  Seems that it makes me way too powerful.

It won't last forever I don't think.  So just enjoy this temporary boost of income, pay down any leases and squirel the money away (keeping under 20,000bc) for when the tourism settles back down.

This is either an Event or a Mega Event, I'm not sure which.  Either way it's something that can randomly happen.  Just remember, your opponents got the same boost...

I know when I have economic booms if I actually can't spend the money fast enough - well, you know, you can *never* have too many spies - {G}.

I know there's at least one event which reduces citizen tolerance of tax, while boosting tourism.  That's pretty much permanent.

Economic boom is a regular event.  But if you get it, that's a good time to get Artificial Slave Center and spam ships.
