CursorFX is freezing and locking my system

All of a sudden, for about two weeks now, CursorFX (ODNT) has been freezing, and I get a "not responding" message.  I have left it to work for as long as 8 hours, and the only escape is to use Task Manager and kill it.

I have un-installed and re-installed the software, but same problem.

Can you please help me ... I just love this program.  I use Vista 32-bit program, and I don't want to give up this feature, or my payment for it.

Thanks, Foamlady

I'm assuming you've separately purchased CursorFX Plus.

How are you installing it?  Are you using Impulse (Link)?  If you are not using Impulse then:

1) de-install CursorFX

2) reboot

3) install Impulse

4) register and log in

5) download and install CursorFX Plus (premium version I'm assuming you've purchsed this separately)

If you are using CursorFX free version then something has most likely changed on your system and is causing the sudden problem.

You should probably send an email to [email protected] detailing the problem include your OS and SP level what AV software you use and any error logs you have.  Wait for an auto response and make a note of your tickect number check your spam folder if Stardock support hasn't been added to your address book yet.  Finally, wait about 2 business days for a written response.  Do not send multiple emails in as that will knock you back to the end of the line.

If you have any other problems or questions regarding this post here.

I am having the same problem, with the purchased version and I have uninstalled and re-installed with no improvement.

Edit: I just installed CursorXP and then re-installed Cursor FX AFTER and that seems to have worked. Go figure.

Here I thought it was me.  I don't know what happened to mine either.  I've been using CursorFX for a long time (6 months) and CursorXP prior to that for year.

One day, I went to change my cursor.  I brought up the program, selected a new cursor and it sat at the loading/waiting screen FOREVER.  I have the same system parameters as the original poster, and have tried the same things - Vista Ult 32 bit, Uninstalled and reinstalled many times, many ways.

First uninstall/reinstall was through Implule, second was through Windows, third uninstall was through TuneUp Utilities with reinstall through Impulse.  All with reboots inbetween and even registry cleaner programs also to remove stray entries.

The only thing I can think of is that a cursor I downloaded recently is causing the hang-up.  But I haven't tried to use that one yet.

Can anyone help resolve this?
