Tons of money, or spending when slider below 0%

I thought I would post this now before trying to recreate it to see what kind of a race I could start
amongst us testers (should be fun).

I moved the slider for spending to 0%, then clicked on the left arrow for spending, which put
spending to some astronomical amount. Having done this by accident and not noticing what
I had done I advanced the game a couple of turns. I then noticed that I was horribly in dept
so I corrected the spending slider to 10%.

Then I moved the taxation slider to 0% and clicked its left arrow and saw the revenue jump
to an absurd amount. Then, just for the fun of it, I advanced the game through several turns.

DON'T DO THIS. It locks up the OS solid. I had to press and hold the power key for 10
seconds to get a power off.

Now I will go back to see if I can recreate this reliably.

I found this too. I am not sure if this got fixed today or not.

The <0% problem has been fixed by last nights build. I am not sure
where the lockup came, but is it possible that the treasury hit a
value right near or right at the largest possible value for the
variable size and put the code off into never-never land? I was not
able to recreate the crash when I tried it a second time (before
last night's build). It wrapped around from near max possitive to
near max negative and kept going, so I suspect the crash is very
dependent on the value, perhaps even the EXACT value of money
in the treasury.

Cheers,
Jack

I have found a similar 0% problem with the allocation sliders!

If you slide the military slider to zero percent and then play with the up and down arrows on the other sliders, you can get the military slider to huge numbers. You can then build a ship on every planet in one turn. This does screw up your money though as well, but with 50 instant battleships, who needs money!

That's even with the fix? I thought that I'd checked all the sliders...

That's with the files of 15/1/02. After the fix. It is repeatable. Just set military to zero, move social and research to around 50 (all with the mouse). Now try the down arrow on social to set it at 51. Research drops to 49 and Military goes to some huge number.
