Toon Desktop

I think I remember something back when MyColors first came out that they would look at or try to look at updating some of the older skins so they would work.  Not seen anything since on that.  Maybe someone will come by an enlighten us.

The current theme manager is in beta. What is the version number of your MyColors (found under the settings tab)?

I'm not getting the same error. Have you tried a simple uninstall/reinstall of the theme yet? I hate to suggest simple things but I need to start there until I can get the same error to occur.

No, because the theme doesn't install to begin with.  Impulse always tells me it is available, but it won't install. Impulse goes through the motions of installing it, then always goes back to saying it is available. It has been like this since Impulse was born. Same with MyColors, and I have reinstalled both Impulse, and MyColors several times. Only the Toon Desktop. 

Is it possible that there is an updated version of the Toon Desktop? I seem to remember that I am not the only one with a problem with the toon Desktop.

Not impossible. I'm going to forward you a link to the lastest build I have available. Please remove the theme and then download through the link. You will get it via PM.

I would suggest it yes. If it doesn't work try it through MyColors instead just to be sure, but Impulse is still the first choice and recommendation.

Here is what happened:

Now I go to IE7, download the link you sent me, tried to install it and got this!!!   MyColors never looked like that before...lol!!

Now all my windowblind themes are gone. I only have six or so showing in WB Config window

MyColors should not have messed with your themes at all. Please check your theme file to make sure the files are still there.

In the mean time I was able to replicate the downloading troubles this morning. I have sent off an email (I'm not in the office today) about it and hope to hear back shortly.

I did delete the registration page picture.

After a reboot, they are back...hmmm.

The design team is looking into this. More info to come....

Cool, if you noticed the text in the pic of MyColors on reply 12, I went ahead and uninstalled/reinstalled Mycolors and all is well again, except Toon desktop, But the odd thing is, when I uninstalled, reinstalled MyColors, I find that windowblinds has also been uninstalled...wtf. So I reinstalled WB. Just FYI. Thanx for looking into this.

MyColors: Toon has not been updated for Vista. The download isn't possible because while the update is pending for Vista Toon is not for sale.

The download link you have likely contains the old version of Theme manager and it is messing with your updated version. For now you will not be able to apply Toon until it gets an overhaul. Sorry for the trouble.

And when it gets that overhaul, will I have to buy it again, like the other updates? Cuz it has never worked right to begin with, I feel this updated version should be free.  My Opinion.

That is likely but unknown to me. In most cases that was the case for doing full updates. If I get more information on the theme I will pass it on right away. Sorry for the trouble thus far.
