It is my pleasure as a new senator of the MWC to congratulate all good peeople of fertile lands with incredible success that our empire achieved in the recent past.

We are not the fastest growing empire but the quickest to rise in ratings. Opportunities are excellent for new (and seasoned) players to make their mark on the face of Metaverse.

We are not asking anyone to defect from other respected empires. We are asking people of midlands (of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Japan, all islands) to join MWC. If desire to help a real and noble cause will regretfully make you leave existing empire so be it. Be strong in your true aligence.

We defeated G.R.O.S.S, others are shaking seeing MWC make it's way up.

Celebrate if you are an MWC member. Join us and we shall go together to the glorious future of the Mid Western Confederation.

I had a long distance relationship for 6 months until I moved back to MD. I know how bad that sucks. :(

True... but living in the woods wasn't much fun. Not to mention my car was broke down from all the mountain traveling I had to do. So I couldn't just travel back to MD for a visit. But your right... they are next to each other. :D

Surther, with all jest aside... would you like to join the Jedi Republic? Things seem dead around these parts (well except for all the Jedi and the Hobbits). Seems to be dead all over the Metaverse. We are looking for people who are active in the forum and we would be happy to have you along. You would be offered a place on the Council if you were to accept.

Visited my friend who went to Virgina Tech. We had to drive through most of it to get there. It is a nice place.

Maryland is nice, but Baltimore is terrible.

Though I have to echo your good thoughts about Virginia, Thoeden, please do not heap insults on Charm City. Baltimore is quite a fun town (much better than DC, which is not really a city--BTW I work in DC).

Indeed. I will never go down to DC again for a show. I went to see Dave Chepelle and got lost. Missed about 30mins of his show. >:( What I saw of it was awesome though. :D

Don't get me wrong, I do like DC. My main beef is that it is absolutely LACKING in character. Too much people turnover to build a true city character.

Unfortunately, living south of DC means that it is a royal PITA getting up to Charm City.

I-81 does have some good country around it, but the traffic (1000s of semis) can take away from the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mtns and Shenendoah Valley.

If you can take some detours--US11 has some great scenery, and Shenendoah Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are gorgeous!

You're talking my area! They are talking a lot about widening I-81 to accomodate the trucking problem, but nobody wants to pay for it (imagine that!)

US-460 is a fabulous road, which goes through many of the small towns in SW Virginia. US-11 is also very nice and I drive the Blue Ridge Parkway almost every day. That's where I hit that deer a couple of weeks ago!

Oh, and no offence to Baltimore. It's just connected to the whole Beltway experience. Definitely not for me!

Cool. My sister lives in Roanoke. We've always had a blast when we've visited. I love the market downtown! My 1st daughter loved that small zoo (can't remember the name of it--has lots of cats, though).
