So I've read up some on Entrenchment and so far it looks exactly like what is missing from Sins. However, it seems this is downloadable only. Are there any plans to release this in a box? If so, whats the cost? Also, with each of these expansions, does that mean I cut my player base down to only the entrenchment people?
It won't be boxed for retail, will remain download-only. It's also being designed so that all Entrenchment features auto-deactivate when playing with people without the expansion, so people who don't have it won't be forced to be separate from people who do.
there was talk about releasing all three micro expansions as a boxed version, but it was later recalled. therefore, you might see a retail version when all are released, which could be around next summer. that was the original plan, but with a slight delay for entrenchment already, I am not sure whether that plan will hold.
entrenchment alone however is download only and will remain so. does not pay to get all the fixed costs for releasing a smaller, cheaper package.
Well I remember Stardock mentioning they didn't want to undercut the european distirbutor (Kalypso) with the entrenchment download. Meaning that Kalypso must be releasing them in some form, and I expect it would be in a physical form...
point. but that may just as well refer to the possible complete package and not entrenchment alone.
Yarlen later said that Kalypso will actually be releasing them through Impulse as an affiliate. So even theirs will be digital 
I originally also thought they'd have to box them somehow, but apparently not!
Thanks for the info. I'll probably order it then. I'm not normally a big fan of download only, but at 10$ atleast I feel like they are doing it fairly. 50$ on a download only game sucks.
