Desktop Themes not fully rendering

Diamond TaskBar and Folder view not changing

Hello,

I know that this has happened off an on before (not for awhile now, but some versions ago, yeah.) but if I apply a theme, and it does not matter if I do it from MyColors, WindowBlinds, or ThemeManager, the folder view fails to change from it's previous theme, and the taskbar fails to change as well. Also, in some previews, there are corrupt graphics and selecting the corrupt graphics settings does not change this. I have faith that all will  be resolved, and I hope you guys had a happy thanksgiving! :-) (Maybe I need to do some uninstall/reinstall/check registry settings and pray...been there done that. LOL)

Can you post a screenshot or two??

Can you post what versions of the apps you are using?

And can you post if all themes are failing or jsut some?

I'll get that info pronto for you! I can tell youi that Diamond is one of the themes in question. I do keep everything current as far as apps and I'll get what you need. I can get the Windows XP Default to reappear but if I go for Diamond for example, it's not fully rendering. If you could give me a specific suite/my colors theme you know to be working properly, I can test that and tell you what is happening on my pc too. :-)

I have the same problem with the Diamond Theme. Could it be that's because i only have 128 mb GFX card?

I have it happening with Argos as well and I have a 512MB card so I suspect it's something else. As for versions of software, all OBDT apps are current as are my desktop themes. Actually, everything is current. With diamond, it's keeping the XP look except for folder icons, but open the folder and you get XP again. This is at 1280x1024 if that means anything. The corrupt or incorrect (in some cases) taskbar seems to happen with any theme other than the XP Default. I tried it with the University of Michigan theme and got a corrupt taskbar, and then restored the XP Default. I wonder if there is anything I should reinstall, possible impulse, but then, that's current too. :)

I have been having a very similar problem, or was i should say, i had to use mycolors and windowblinds and apply themes that way, but they didnt always work, i uninstalled mycolors, and windowblinds and theme manager, ran a utility that was directed by stardock support to uninstall those apps, so i did, rebooted, installed all but theme manager and windowblinds and mycolors works fine now, so in my case it appears theme manager was causing the problem, i can live without it,, no bid deal but maybe this will help u guys, also i was getting corrupt taskbar and menu boxe as well

I have the same problem with Winter Wonderland I just purchased earlier today.  The taskbar, window frames, start menu and other items do not change-- they go to the old classic look except in white-- light grey.  Tried green theme and same thing happened.  I do not use Theme Manager.  I can go into Vista Personalization menu and set theme back to Vista Aero but when I try to use any of the "My Color" themes it changes properly, pauses about three seconds and then goes into this classic grey background, black text deal.
