Vanishing Terror star

Have a game, that if I pick terror star shell off the list of availabe modules, it vanishes - If the game gives me a ranger, I cannot see it but can select it. Same with the Terror star. I can select and move it and destroy planets with it...is this a known bug?

Umm...maybe you have advanced cloaking???

J/K :p

No clue, but if the comp can't see it either...RUN WITH IT!

Some graphics data got lost in the memory, generally
restarting and reloading the game corrects this I
believe

:) The AI doesn't care about gfx. It always "sees" the ships even if you can't.

Now that I've fixed a bunch of crashes, this bug is my highest priority this week.

:) Well, actually several people have had disappearing ships.

I have another problem with terror star. After I loaded a game I saved last night and hit end turn button, I found my terror star movement number changes to 6/1! The terror star now could easily move 6 parsecs a turn. It was grouped with a handful of dreadnoughts and battleships. But even I moved the ships away, it still had the speed boost. And next turn, the game crashes. I tried to reload several times, but the problem persists.
:notsure:

I've seen it with dissappearing ships before, but this weekend was the first time I saw it with a starbase. For me it wasn't a terror star, but one of my massive culture bombing starbases. They "dissappeared". At first I thought it was gone, but then when the enemies planets started defecting, I got the idea there was something wrong.

I reloaded and sure enough they came back, and then 30-40 turns later, they dissappeared again. Always during the upgrade process for whatever that is worth.

Sometimes you have to reboot before reloading Gal Civ to get it to work.

Just reloading worked, it just stopped working again much later on.
