AI has really early galactic achievements

is this normal?

Every time I start a new game (max opponents, max minor races, normal difficulty), within the first couple turns I learn that some other AI race has already built some galactic achievement and that no further (whatever) may be built.  This seriousaly happens WAY before they should even have the tech researched or anything, unless they started with 3 pre-colonized planets and 10X the starting population.  What the hell?  This never happened in DL or DA.  I have TotA v. 2.01.

The new tech trees in TA have some GAs available right off the bat.  These GAs though are tech-tree specific.  So don't sweat it when you're playing the Arceans and hear the Thalans just completed a Hyperion Matrix as only the Thalan's tree holds that building.

Try out each race just at the beginning and look at the buildings available.

The only time this comes into play is if you have two races with the same tree (you playing as a custom race with Thalan tech tree, and Thalans also in the game). Mostly it doesn't affect you much.
