Downloading mods...

Possibly a couple of foolish n00b questions but bear with me here:

1) After downloading the various mods and created events on the official website, where exactly do I need to put them? I've been looking for instructions and such but had no luck.

2) Is there any way to search for posts on the board made by a specific person? Or a keyword?

Not foolish at all ;) I'll take a crack at 'em.

1.) Depending on the type of MOD they will need to be placed in different locations. Just look at the file extention, see where other files of that type are located, and plop it in that folder. Most graphics will need to go in the /gfx folder and the data files (event, anomaly, ect) will go in the /data folder (with a few exceptions).

2.) There's a "search" function in the forums on www.GalCiv.com, but unfourtunatly, not on Stardock Central. Check there if youre looking to find something posted by a specific user.
