How do I get a beta key?

Hi all, sorry if this has been discussed; a quick scan of the first pages yielded no answer. I preordered this amazing looking game yesterday, and understand this entitles me to be part of the next beta, which unless something happened I believe begins today. I have not recieved any information about the beta, and can find nothing about it on Impulse either. Are there special steps I have to take, or should I contact someone?

Thanks!

Welcome to the to the Demigod Forums! Allow me to create a nice, simple cut & paste responce to your question.

Though the Beta Build is expected today, it is not 100% certain yet. In a period anytime between 12pm CST - 3pm CST we'll get some news on the status of the Beta Build on the Impulse IRC #Demigod Channel found under the Community and Chat tabs. Feel free to join us there if you have any further questions.

All people who Pre-Order before the release of the Beta Build can get into Beta 2, but will not get into Beta 2 until the announcement of the Build is released. Stay tuned to IRC.

no need to rush, last time it took several hours after the download was published until i recived my e-mail for beta, too.

after you purchased you dont have to do anything but checking you e-mails for the beta key. it will be send to the same adress as the details about your order.

if you havent got that mail until tomorrow 12 o clock, check again this forum for information about possible problems with the mails or the beta (i dont think there will be any...) and if normaly you should have recived one, contact the support maybe or write it down here again. some of the devs also look into this forum and they will be better informed as i am about "where do i have to ask for support in that part?"

Furthermore, any emails sent will be two Thank you for shopping with Stardock messages. But you'll get one when you Pre-Order, you may get a second when your Beta is activated. This will conaint no Beta Key at all, just instructions telling you to Install Impulse and download it. You must be logged into your Stardock/Impulse account. If you haven't done any of that yet, do it now.

You will get your key when the beta 2 is released.

As a last point, it takes time to process all the orders and they are processed in the order received.  So if you ordered a minute ago you are last in line; if you ordered last month you will recieve your email earlier.

I read about Demigod in PC gamer and decided to check out the site. While I was trolling the site yesterday I just found out Demigod had a beta. So if I preorder today, or tomorrow will I still be able to get into the beta? I understand I would be in the back of the line, yet does that mean I missed out on it?

We generally leave it open for a week or two after a new beta begins for people to still get in. After that, it closes and orders go on queue again for the next phase. So today is definitely fine, tomorrow most very likely as well.

Yes you will.  They generally leave it open for a week or two.  Sooner the better though.
