more than two teams?

I have been thinking about it, and somebody suggested more than just 'light' and 'dark', what about multiple teams?  I don't even mean they all would fight each other (because that might make balance issues) but like perhaps two different dark citidels on teams that are technically different teams, but still on the same side?

Alternativily, you could bring in a 3rd faction that is the neutral party, similar to the creeps in DotA.  A group of Demigods that just want to cause trouble, so they sit off to the side or in the middle and cause trouble for players.  They could have their own victory condition involving death count time limit or something.

Or as it turns out, there is already a thread:

well, a third neutral party would create kingmakers which in my opinion (but i can of course be wrong) would be frustrating and unfair. why would you want to add some players that can decide of the winners?

For the two differents teams, it is definitely doable, but i am not sure of what it would add to the game.

I mean, if you kill one citadel, theirs allies are dead meat, so there is not really an interest in that option. But you could think of having two citadels for one team with a map shaped like that:

                          X                  X

                             \            /

\      /                      where X and Y are the different teams citadels

                                   O

                                /     \

                             /           \

                          y               y

And if one citadel is destroyed, the portals that are connected to it close. So it would still mean near immediate death if one citadel is destroyed, adding tacticals choices as where i focus my attacks and my defenses.

no worries, there's too many topics to keep track of them all. Mine might not even be the first one! :-P
