problem with locking up

Hi everyone , been playing Sins for a month now and finally created my own map against 9 AI's plus myself , Seven hours in  , game locked up . I was just given notice that I had  " Insufficient Supplies " but I had already purchaced all I could in Logistics screen across bottom , there was no more slots left to puchase , I only had 10 capital ships , but I did have 9 planets all with infsructure  completed . What am I doing wrong ? Thanks beforehand to anyone who answers
