Linked Squadrons How do I do this

Heavy Fighters

from Sins Forums

So I have a sova carrier and build up it's abilities. eventually  I get Heavy Fighters but it requires a "linked squadron"

 

What is this and how do I get it?

Squadrons are Strikecraft.

Build 'em from the Sova. Squadrons are linked to the ship/structure/whatever that built 'em.

So why is the box with the ability Heavy Fighters alwasy gray.

 

isi it because it's a passive non-button pushing ability?

 

or is it supposed to be colored like the others..

Well, that particular icon is gray. The gray ring around it means it's passive, non-clickable though.
