why arent my mods working?

I downloaded and installed artificial planets but i cant choose it's folder from the options, it only lets me choose the default mods. Any idea why? I installed it like the readme that came with it said, in C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\mods

Have you activated the mod in the setup screen? If you did, then you should ask the person who created the mod. They may know what the problem is.
