Bug with bonuses from trade goods

There is apparently a bug in the game with the bonus you egt to speed when trading for the Gravity Accelerators. I didn't want this tp get lost in the shuffle due to the original post's title which may not be looked at by any Devs, so I'm crating a new one.

I'm giving you a bump Captain Yar, because I am having a similar issue

 

When I try to either buy or build a Gravity Acceleator, my game ALWAYS crashes

 

I can go on though the game and not buy or build it, but what do I do if the AI does? If the AI does indeed buy or build it I am screwed  :thumbsdown:
